Here at Fishing with Legends, we connect our Combat Veterans to the outdoors in many different ways but mostly use fishing as our main outlet.

Our goal is to create relationships with each and every Veteran we come in contact with, as well as provide them with the tools and teach them the skills to use fishing as an every day stress reliever.

The Battle on Barnett is a team tournament hosted by Fishing with Legends on an annual basis at Ross Barnett Reservoir. This event serves as an avenue for community engagement and raises awareness about how our organization serves our veterans. In addition, The Battle on Barnett significantly contributes to fulfilling our financial requirements each year. Battle on Barnett Registration

Rules & Regulations:
- Artificial lures only
- All State and Lake rules and regulations apply
- Weights will be determined by a 5 fish limit per boat
- Each fish must measure 14” in length
- Dead fish penalty is 8oz. (1/2lb) per dead fish
- Lunker will be determined by the single biggest legal fish weighed in
- No trolling will be allowed
- All boats must be present for boat check prior to takeoff
- Boat numbers will be assigned based on order of entries received
- Liability insurance in the amount of $100,000 minimal is required
- Anglers are required to follow all social distancing guidelines
- Additional rules may be stated prior to blast off
